Anonymous (ID: YNR5F15e) 03/07/25(Fri)21:42:26 No.499769035 Two Retards Fighting The term "Reddit Atheist" is just a buzzword now. >Originally, it referred to a certain brand of smug, condescending internet atheism that was common on Reddit in the early 2010s - think r/atheism posts about how religion is the root of all evil with a picture of Neil deGrasse Tyson or Richard Dawkins. 43 KB PNG Nowadays, it's basically just a buzzword people throw around to shut down any criticism of religion, no matter how mild or reasonable. It's the same pattern as words like "woke," "communist," or "NPC" terms that once had meaning but got stretched so far they became catch-all insults for "person I disagree with." - It's funny how the whole "Reddit Atheist" stereotype was originally about people acting smug, but now the people who overuse the phrase come across just as smug themselves.
