Let me explain. 1. Social media posts: Prospective employers will read your posts. I look for positive, forward thinking, posts that expand your professional network, expertise, thought leadership. If your posts tend to focus on - social injustices; - how horrible your job application process was; - how desperate you are for a position; - or how you have been ghosted As a prospective manager, I cannot help but think you are going to be a problematic employee with excuses of how unfortunate things happened to you, rife with excuses of why you cannot do something, rather than presenting yourself as net value contributor. It's an instant turn-off. Be careful what you (over)share.
