It all started one Saturday morning, I went downstairs for some breakfast and saw my daughter watching it in the living room television, out of shear boredom I sat down (with my bowl full of frosted flakes) and saw an entire episode with her, and you know what?·it wasn't half bad. I wasn't expecting for the show to be as good as it was, after seeing more episodes ! was officially hooked and even told my wife about it. My wife at the time was diagnosed with breast cancer and was forced to spend the majority of her last days in bed. I was glad to see her laugh and smile when I told her the enjoyment I received from watching a little girl's television show about magical colorful talking ponies. She saw a couple of episodes with us, however she didn't look too interested in it as I would've hoped, guess it just wasn't her type of show A couple months later, after picking up my daughter from school we began a heated debate on who was best pony. Mine was Rainbow Dash (Rarity a close 2nd) and hers was Twilight Sparkle. When I asked her > "Why Twilight?" , she answered > Twilight is just like mommy. She's smart, pretty and likes to read." As I sat on the driver's seat staring blankly at the road, I began to realize how similarTwilight Sparkle and my wife were to one another During the season 3 wait, my wife lost the fight and finally passed away con | | My little girl part 2 Anonymous 04/06/13(Sat)04:05 No.9631923 9631907 (OP) (con Difficult times, emotional cave-in and a different outlook in life put me in a severe state of depression. I was always there to comfort my little girl, being "strong" for her was excruciatingly difficult and would sometimes breakdown and cry with her. We continued watching MLP throughout season 3, me being somewhat apart of the fandom eventually found out about the season 3 finale weeks before it was supposed to air. I was a little uncomfortable about the fact that Twilight was going to become an alicormn princess, but what I feared more than that was what my daughter's reaction might be over the sudden change of her favorite character. I didn't think too much about it however > "It's just a little kid's TV show, who cares?".. right? Finally the day came, my daughter and I began watching the finale and all was fine, then it happened. Twilight Sparkle spreads her newly obtained wings, her friends gasp and she is crowned princess. After the episode l turn to my daughter and asked how she felt about the episode, and surprisingly enough she enjoyed it. Quite shocked, I ask > "You liked it huh?.. Twilight has wings now, you don't mind that?" To which she answered > "No, with her new wing s she's even more like mommy
