And that's definitely evil because obviously the same bad people that killed Native Americans all those years ago lived two hundred years and named aircraft after them.

And I think that the general consensus among most Americans today is that the Native Americans were awesome survivalists and warriors as well as nice people who were certainly wronged by the settlers.

So just because I'm descended from the racist bigoted scumbags makes me a racist bigoted scumbag? Just because it's in the same country?

And the U.S. has formally apologized to the Native Americans, you know.

If anything, it's frickin respectful to name our stuff after them. It lets their memory and legacy live on.

About the Germany thing, that's a bit different, since WWII was only 60 years ago. But still. It would be a bit weird, but not really wrong.
