A land mass has appeared around Sootopolis City. New islands have formed over the years (rapid climate changes impacted the region) Pacifilog Town no longer exists Lunar Sapphire, some towns have been submerged underwater. Sootopolis City is submerged, now a underwater ghost town. Mossdeep City has shrunk but humans have expanded the land with manmade objects (building a large dock that house people). Lilycove City is also impacted. A large bridge connects Lilycove to Mossdeep currents are too rough to surf in the area. Residents of Sootopolis has moved to Pacifilog City (greatly expanded to house more people and larger in general- 8th Gym Leader moved to that location. The Mirage Tower plays a vital roll in the plot this time, after slowly decaying over the years as said by a man in Black2/White2 Neo Team Aqua appears in Solar Ruby to awaken Kyogre, Neo Team Magma appears in Lunar Sapphire to awaken Groudon. Respective legendaries are still catchable, but plot will focus on the opposites. Both legendaries are catchable in both games (similar to Gold/Silver). Later on, the teams decide that Rayquaza must be called to keep balance to the region, but do so in an inappropriate way that could radically change Hoenn again.
