While Peter Llewelyn Davies gave his name to Peter Pan, it was arguably his impish younger brother Michael who was the model for Pan's personality. Michael also committed suicide, along with his gay lover, in 1921 at the age of twenty.
And, as you might expect for British men of their generation, Peter and Michael's eldest brother George died in a muddy trench in Belgium, during World War One…
