Sometime I wonder, are they even Digimons anymore?

That was always more or less like that: the more they evolve (excuse me, digivolve), the closer they get to human shape. They stay digimons nonetheless, like Timey16 said, some monster in JRPG are in fact very close to human too, especially the stronger ones. It doens't bother me however, even if I didn't watch Digimon a lot, I believe the show is okay, even more enjoyable than pokemon if you want to come to that, mainly because they actually had a scenario and a vague idea of where the fuck they were going
