Kyle Sep 4 Just a quick note to remind group members of two things 1) Everything someone posts in this group should be considered private and only shareable/discussable with other members of the group. This is a place to discuss things with your peers in ways you might not want to in public 2) There are no technical protections against anything that's said in this group being easily quoted and distributed widely. Don't write anything in the group that would ruitn your life if it was leaked publicly There's no one event that has been the impetus for this reminder post, other than the general conspiracy tinged air of distrust and suspicion that seems to be permeating everything in our sphere in the past month, even among some group members. I've heard complaints from some journalists that posts/info shared with "friends only on Facebook have been leaked and used against them by the Twitter hordes. JoumolList, the inspiration for this group, was actually brought down when someone decided to reveal its private messages in a way that made it seem like a vast left-wing conspiracy (more on this: httpllen wikipedia.org/wikilJounoList) m proud that this list has existed for over four years now without anyone of our members iolating the shared trust by spreading group messages to the outside world, as fa as Im aware.
