It is about JOURNALISTIC INTEGRITY. This is what's important, this conversation is NOT about women, it's about ETHICS. I DON'T think people should be GIVING POSITIVE PRESS to who they are SLEEPING WITH, who they havea RELATIONSHIP with, or even a FRIENDSHIP with. I DON'T think they should be DONATING to their PATREON:S for JUST EXISTING. THIS IS A PROBLEM If you are willing to WORK HARD and make a game people ENJOY it does NOT matter what your SEX is or what you IDENTIFY as. All that matters is your GAME. And this is what keeps getting FORGOTTEN in the CONVERSATION It ISN'T ABOUT MISOGYNY. GAMERS DO NOT HATE WOMEN. We have tenant and landlord relationships between gamedevs and games journalists, the latter writing POSITIVE REVIEWS and leading people to come and BUY THEIR GAMES. You CAN'T tell me this isn't a MAJOR ISSUE. There are so many DIVERSE people in the movement. There are so many different political identities. We have LEFT. We have RIGHT We have so many different ethnicities. We have WOMEN. We have MEN. We have TRANSSEXUALS. WE HAVE EVERYBODY OTYOURSHIEL There are so may STRONG, POWERFULvoices in #GAMERGATE. ALL WE WANT to do is PLAY GAMES and ENJOY GAMES without IR PERSONAL I We just recently had a game release (BAYONETTA 2) that gotJemma Morgan @ShuluuMoo GLOWING REVIEWS from every single games website but ONE WEBSITE (POLYGON) that happens to be involved in this COLLUSION docked points because they deemed it incredibly sexist. Author has 304 answers and 740.1K answer views. 5y Not that I care that much either way, but it did expose a lot of corrupt game developers and game journalists. X Journalists would make claims of people like Anita Sarkeesian "playing video games all her life" when she openly admitted many times she is not a gamer and only starter recently (when it wasn't for an interview). Various developers trading sex or money for good reviews got exposed, journalists who accepted got exposed. People became a bit more critical about supporting a game just because the developer has a victim complex stating tat their game could have only failed because of sexism, instead of their own poor developing skills. What really sealed the deal was opposition often faking their own harassment. Anita sarkeesian and Zoe Quinn have been caught multiple times screenshotting "harassment" while showing that the harrasser's account name in the login. Or when someone called the police to help Sarkeesian against a "very real threat" she was posting about, only for police to find the harasser's messages were coming from her IP address. I just want honesty from the community, and the lies were mostly exposed by the "dreaded" gamergate. 1.3K views • View upvotes 26

This is all well and good, but do you think all this text will do anything to change any hearts or minds over there? I really think the approach is all wrong, even if the intent is fine. I'm actually feeling pity for both sides here. I can tell everyone's sick and tired of fighting, but refuses to stop for fear that they will "win." Whatever that involves.

Dunno about you guys, but has bickering ever put you in a good mood? It hasn't done that to me, and I know I'm much less likely to listen if I'm upset.
