Some of them may have been involved in a complicated scheme to have indie awards given to them by people who hold monetary interests in the games' success. I've read that Steam auto-accepts games that win IndieCade or IGF awards [EDIT: see below]. Is this true? If so, these developers are essentially being guaranteed spots on steam by their OWN SHAREHOLDERS. That seems like a serious issue with the way Steam is set up. Thoughts? EDIT.
