Sloth rop ▼ 7 Sep @ 1:39pm IGF, racketeering, and Steam So this was recently published Some prety heavy allegations are thrown at IGF, IndieCade, and games like Fez Antichamber, Monaco, and Dear Esther. Some of them may have been involved in a complicated scheme to have indie awards given to them by people who hold monetary interests in the games' success. I've read that Steam auto-accepts games that win IndieCade or IGF awards [EDIT: see below]. Is this true? If so, these developers are essentially being guaranteed spots on steam by their OWN SHAREHOLDERS. That seems like a serious issue with the way Steam is set up. Thoughts? EDIT. Adding the Steam association here. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/valve-to-offer-steam-deals-to-iaf-2014-main- competition-finalists/1100-6414365 Winning IGF is a DIRECT line to Steam Last edited by Slothrop, 7 Sep@2:08pmm
