one theory floating about is that it she looks like that because she is a bad relationship- one using the other, and the other just waiting to backstab.

Thus, she has 4 eyes, a ton of arms, and she looks like a freak. Meanwhile, Garnet just gets an extra eye. Everyone can just see when you are wrong for eachother.
