Oh my god, and then there is that bit in "Rose's Scabbard" where Steven fails to make the jump and is hanging on for dear life, and Pearl doesn't help him. Was it because she thought, "if he died, would Rose regenerate?" And then when she was crying after, was it because she realized what she had been thinking?
