Toon Link finished off Gannon in by far the most badass way out of all of them.

There was a YouTube series called The Curiosity Shop, where this guy was asked TLoZ-related questions and answered them. Someone once asked him who his favorite incarnation of Link was, and he said The Wind Waker's. His reasoning was utter perfection. TWW Link, unlike nearly any other Link, was not predestined to become the hero. He wasn't chosen by the goddesses or anything like that. All he wanted to do was save his little sister. He EARNED the right to go to Hyrule when no one else could. He EARNED the Master Sword. He EARNED the Triforce of Courage. He EARNED the title of Hero of Winds. No other Link can stake those claims. I think that's what makes The Wind Waker so special, and why this final fight is as epic as it is.
