ELECTRONIC REAL S OUND POWER Hdd capncjr. imx-doomer BFG9000's toy gun source found! What a way to end this crazy month. Not only we got DoomEd's source code, as well as other Doom development material from both games, but various members of the community have identified the actual toy gun that was used for the development of the BFG9000's in-game sprite Originally found by Twitter user Sneakernets (also on tumblr as sneakernets) this gun seems to have a lot of variants (and by consequence, a lot of alternative names), but the one that was used for the actual photo-source of the BFG is the one called 'The Machine". When you mirror the gun as seen above you can clearly notice a lot of patterns that match an old BFG9000 sprite used during Doom's development. And not only this gun was used for the BFG's sprite, as you can see on the images above, it was also used in certain bits of some in-game textures!
