I don't think he's a shitlord for trying to get them to leave. They do clearly attract danger to the city he lives in after all. The fact that he begged them to stay afterwards so that he'd have something to blog about and make him feel like a special snowflake make him a shitlord.

I wouldn't call Ronaldo a COMPLETE shitlord for asking the gems to leave, necessarily.

The gems' presence attracts monsters, and it will make Beach City into the front line in the upcoming battles. I know that the Homeworld Gems threaten the whole world…but does that mean that the gems can't have this battle on a nice secluded mountaintop? There are a thousand Gem ruins they could move into.

The way that his father, Fryman, shows resignation that there is nothing he can do about the situation shows the kind of effect having super heroes fight over your heads constantly. Ronaldo, despite the fact that his methods are….'underdeveloped', is trying to get to the bottom of the problem and do something about it.

Now, he is kind of a shitlord for feeling accomplished after doing it. But again, not a complete one. I would call that more of being an idiot about consequences on how this affects steven (the other gems would only be mildly inconvenienced by the absence of humans- they lived there a long time before they showed up, right?)

Still, I believe that the undertone of accepted helplessness will recede now that we have both steven and connie training to smack down evil. Seeing a child take on such odds is inspiring, no?
