It really feels like this episode was the writers saying "See? It's okay that Pearl's fucking up constantly. She needs problems and hardships, it makes her more of a character!"

Which is okay… but they really seem focused on cutting her down without much payoff for it. Ever since Rose's Scabbard… (I miss Strong in the Real Way Pearl.) So hopefully we get more Pearl goodness as Yellow Diamond makes her rounds.
