Actually, chickens have some kind of automatic stabilizing sense in their head, so even if you move their body around as long as it’s not farther than their neck can reach, it’ll stay at that place even facing the same direction sometimes. For a better explanation, youtube “Chicken Steadycam” (I don’t know how to embed videos here). Kudos for Scott 'cause that's pretty accurate to real chickens
