He liked about as well as he could have liked it, given that he's not much of a fan of visual novels in the first place and is rather jaded in general when it comes to psychological horror elements.

It seems he didn't hate it, but found it lacking as a horror title. And I agree, really had they fleshed out the characters and gone more psychological as opposed to LE SPOOKY GLITCHES it would've been a lot better.
