I made a mindblowing discovery about the banana sound effect in Donkey Kong Country Returns and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. It's actually the Koopa shell kicking noise from the original NES Super Mario Bros sped up! Is it an intentional easter egg, or a coincidence? You be the judge!
