Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's brutal crackdown on protesters in Gezi Park and Taksim Square draws fire! It all started when protesters tried to stop the destruction of one of the last green spaces in central Istanbul, Gezi Park. The police response was totally out of proportion, using pepper spray, tear gas, and water cannons on peaceful protesters.
