As is to be expected, tumblr throws a hissy fit. Even more butthurt in the notes.

I find this to be a bit stupid, I understand why it has been added, but if it's for the obvious reason of how it's popularly used, then why are a lot of memetic phrases not added? It's still a type of slang, like the others.

My main problem with the phrase is its inherent sexism. Those who use it believe that a woman is victimizing them by their refusal to date them, as if they deserve her affection.

Of course, these are neckbeards we're talking about.

I don't have a problem with the phrase itself, because it really does suck to have romantic interest in someone who only wants to be friends. I have a problem when someone coins the phrase to gain sympathy from fellow neckbeards and/or call the person of romantic interest a bitch just because they are denying you any romantic relationship. Women are not machines that you put friendship in and get sex out of. In other words, I don't find the phrase offensive (and the people overreacting about its addition to the dictionary is rather silly), I find the way some people use it as offensive
