I think pants should be a meme

My guess as to what the OP means is that pants should be added to the database as they're frequently used in memes (and I would say humor in general.)

If so, then should we also include bananas, farts, and stupid politicians?

To me, it seems a little too broad--at least for now.

I remember that time when we banned a guy for trying to force France as a meme.
