Clicking too much and (sometimes) trolling.
Posting once…
… and then posting again.
EDIT: Also, what Watcher said.
clicking "save" again while waiting for it to refresh. Like this.
Oh, that didn't work.
If your computer freezes so you click a whole damn bunch.

If no one else has posted yet, just hit the delete button right under your name to erase your accoun… er… delete one of your posts. Yeah, let's go with that lie.
It can be caused by a number of things.
Latent internet connections.
Clicking more than one time on the "Save" button before the page refreshes.
Server lag (rare, but it does happen).
Browser lag.
Form resubmission.
Just be patient when clicking save.
Just click once, doing it more than once doesn't make it faster.
being patient helps
disabling the Save button once clicked
If you want to make it LOOK like you double posted, you could always copypasta your original message.

I double post only when I have something else that contributes to the thread topic but don't want it to go unnoticed, OR if I'm posting a picture, or if I assume that others have already posted after my last message.
But I don't double post to bump.
