So apparently, Meme Run got approved by Nintendo, and it will be released December 18th. As the name suggests, Meme Run is a game about memes, and it's an endless runner. It doesn't look too different from other shovelware titles I've seen recently, but it also has a ton of memes. I don't know wether to like this or hate it, but I'm leaning more torwards the latter in all seriousness. What are your opinions, guys?

Wait a minute, that sniper rifle is the Intervention, as it's appears in Modern Warfare 2. Would that count as copyright infringement?

And the game looks like shit. It's like someone watched a bunch of MLG montage parodies, and made a game based around it, with no care whatsoever. Also, its another fucking runner game. Because we don't have enough of that stale genre, right?

No, you can't copyright the design of a real life gun. And since it's just a screenshot of it none of the code from COD is being used either.

Nintendo is really getting desperate. Which makes sense, since the Wii U doesn't have a lot of third-party games.

They did say that they were widely open torwards indie developers by making it easy for indie developers to get their games on Nintendo's systems. This, however, should've been rejected by Nintendo the moment they saw any Work In Progress versions of the game. Luckily, this has been confirmed by the creator that a European release won't be a thing(for now, and hopefully forever), and a Japanese release won't even have a CHANCE at happening, so this leads to only NoA being desperate.

On the topic of bad indies Nintendo has allowed on the eshop, has anyone heard about The Letter? It's an indie horror game that was made by two guys and was released earlier this year to horrendous reviews. It also has horrendous production value, a terrible story, and can be finished in about five minutes. This game can be yours for the ow, low price of two dollars.
