This meme originated from /k/ on 4chan, because a man came home from Iraq/Afghan and was in a squad that included a black man(BlackOps). Which his smile gained some attention in the thread where he was "created". The comment looked close to this: "i sense a new meme to be formed" which influenced people to photoshop the man's picture and pasting them onto other pictures or memes.
Some variations would be his face on "Doubles Guy" and "LOL WHY U MAD THO?".
