Chris Stedman is an author and humanist interfaith activist from Minneapolis who now works at the Humanist Chaplaincy at Harvard University. His work primarily deals with resolving conflicts between religious groups and atheists. On March 29th 2011, fellow employee Stephen Goeman, of the Tufts Freethought Society, uploaded his photo onto memegenerator.net. Chris himself posted some of the image macros onto his website, http://nonprophetstatus.com and more have been produced since April 1st.

The meme follows the template of Advice Dog and its spin offs but touches more on issues such as the Japan Eathquake Disaster Relief, Hipsterism, Islam, and religion/secularism in general. Chris's personality and features (tattoos, how he met Kanye West, his beginnings as a gay pastor) all play a part in creating puns for this meme.
