“Combo Breaker” is a term usually used in message boards to break a chain of posts, or an attempt to stop users from completing an entire image. (See Combo). Also used as a trolling method, it is almost universally ignored.

Combo breakers are one of 4chan’s older memes, and its usage has moderately spread elsewhere.

Usage

In the Killer Instinct gameplay, a Combo Breaker is a move that may be used by a player who is being caught in a combo attack. Similarly to a chain in a message board, a Combo Breaker is any move which prevents the execution of a full combination, making long combos a risky affair.
