“Diggy Diggy Hole” Is a popular catchphrase used by YouTuber BlueXephos better known as the Yogscast. They have many game commentaries, but this certain one comes from when they’re playing Minecraft^[1].

Origin

This meme started when Simon and Lewis (The Yogscast) Started the “Shadow of Israphel” series on their Youtube account and in “Shadow of Israphel” Part 8, Simon (Honeydew) Broke out into a little song about his avatar being a dwarf and it digging a hole while they were trying to recover the remains of a gaurd tower underground. If you skip to 10:07 in the video, you can hear Simon (Honeydew) singing the song.

“Diggy Diggy Hole” It is mostly notable to Yogscast fans but it’s widely known to everyone alse as just “catchy and fun.” Since started, this meme has grown expadentially but is finally calming down a little, even though it is still widely popular.

On Aug 15, 2011, the Yogscast uploaded a “Fan song and Animation” to their account. PatientZero was responsible for the actual song, and Reckreations worked on the animations. The video has accumulated 6 million views ever since.

Other fan animations were made and grew popular. YOGSCAST: Diggy Diggy Hole Animation made Mar 29, 2011, before the one BlueXephos uploaded, has almost 2 million views.

As well as other Remixes and Animations.

With the massive increase in popularity, the game “Dwarfs!?” by the company " Power of 2" decided to include the phrase “Diggy Diggy Hole” as well as include voice acting by Simon of the Yogscast. TotalBiscuit, another Youtube celebrity, made a video featuring the voice acting.
