ABOUT
A music video to a song called Meet me on Facebook by Sudanese rapper Bangs.

ORIGIN
Born in Sudan in 1990, moved for two years to Egypt, and currently residing in Australia, it appears the entire World seems open game for this self made rapper. Using what he already knew about "shorties" and "playing de game", Bangs began to work on writing music in his spare time. Many years later, the cultural phenomenon known as Facebook emerges, and is just the inspiration he needs to finish the remaining songs. Bangs leaped headfirst into the music industry with the explosive album Hard To Be Up and quickly rose to unparalleled heights with monster hits including "Take U To Da Movies" and "Baby Gihrl", the latter of which has reportedly inspired an excess of 10 people thus far.

SPREAD
Bangs is already being compared to other young rapper such as Soulja Boy, and Bow Wow. His ability to pick a seemingly musically unrelated item, in this case Facebook, he masterfully weaves an epic tale that lyrically charts a fantastical journey into the many joys of this social networking site. There is some discrepancy of the lyrics in the songs due to accent or pronunciation. For example, the word "Facebook", many people interpret the word as Feisbuuuk, or Feaysbuuuk . There are also the genius lines such as "because you have a nice luuu" and "I really wanna cat wiv u". In fact, most people admit to not being able to understand much of the chorus, or anything else for that matter. When looking at the Street Cred of Bangs, one is inexorably drawn to his cheap knock off clothing and accessories that Bangs wears in his videos, contrasted with what appears to be tens of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry. Leading many to ponder as to whether the jewelry is real atop the Air Jordan's, or if it's possible to rise to super stardom in fake jewelry. Last but not least, is the majestic use of computer editing tools used to portray Bangs as flying around a bustling city, soaring over hundreds of "shorties" or even hovering above his home country of Sudan. We are graced with the visual equivalent of James Cameron's blockbuster movie Avatar, with a fraction of the budget.

THE FUTURE
This complex combination of misleading lyrics, wannabe Bling, and superb use of green screen, are just the type of awesome sauce that enables an obscure video to go into the pre-viral stages. This combination of fresh, youthful rapper energy, crossing with the already established Missheard Lyrics meme, further showcases the credibility of Facebook as the furthest reaching social networking site of all time, and of the glory that is Bangs. When going over all the intricate talents he has under his belt, one cannot help but wonder if Bangs will indeed take his skills to other mediums such as film, television, or even Broadway. One thing is for certain, in a World of one hit wonders and 15 minute Superstars, the artist known only as Bangs, is here to stay.
