My Video for Briona is a YouTube video featuring New York-based teenager Dominick Romano delivering a monologue addressed to a girl named Briona. Many viewers found the video to be disturbing due to the teenager’s declarations of love and sexually suggestive facial expressions.
Origin
On January 8th, 2012, YouTuber magmaflower uploaded a video titled “My Video for Briona,” in which a 14-year old boy tells his girlfriend Briona how much he loves her, accompanied by the statements “stay perfect just for me” and “I love you more than there are grains of sand on every beach.” Within 10 days, the video accumulated over 1.5 million views.

BuzzFeed[4] featured the video in a post titled "A Creepy Video For His 'Baby Girl'" on January 14th, 2012. The same day, YouTuber JustBriona uploaded a video titled "Dominick and Briona" featuring a photo slideshow of her and the teenage boy from the original video. The video was subsequently removed, but was reuploaded by YouTuber Cracking Ace the following month. This too was removed.
JustBriona uploaded a response video titled "To the Haters of Magmaflower" on January 15th but removed the video shortly after. On January 17th, the web culture blog Slacktory[3] published an article about the video calling it "cringe-inducing." Disc jockeys Roz and Mocha of the Toronto-based Canadian radio station KiSS 92.5[2] interviewed Magmaflower on January 17th. Magmaflower claims the video was not a fake and that he was merely trying to reassure his girlfriend that he was OK after staying home from school for several consecutive days due to an illness.
Magmaflower began selling "stay perfect" t-shirts on the merchandise site Big Cartel[7] and his official Facebook[1] page accumulated 3,333 likes that month. On April 12th, magmaflower uploaded a new video titled "My Video for Briona for Our 7 Month" (shown below).
Babe.net Interview
On February 14th, 2018, Babe.net published an interview with Romano, in which he discussed the video and his past relationships. Additionally, the interview included a recent photograph of Romano sitting in a car with longer hair and facial hair (shown below).
