“No, This is Patrick,” is a phrase often used as a standard response to anyone who asks if something is something (ie: Is this that?).
It usually features images of Patrick Star from the “Big Pink Loser” episode of the children’s television show SpongeBob SquarePants on a phone, increasingly irate, accompanied by the text “No, this is Patrick”, typically ending at the third iteration with “I am not a >object<”. The original clip of this can be seen here.
It is often seen paired with THIS IS SPARTA and its spinoffs.
Origin
The episode this popular phrase originated from is,Spongebob season 2 episode 23 Big Pink Loser, which aired November 16th, 2000.In which Patrick gets a job at the krusty krab so He can accomplish something, during the time He’s working there He gets several phone calls asking “is this the krusty krab?” on which He replies “No this is Patrick!”.
