About
Comes from the webcast series “Nyoron☆Churuya-san” or in Japanese,「にょろーん☆ちゅるやさん」 by Utsura Urarak. The point of the webcast was the main character, Churuya-san, the super-deformed version of Tsuruya from the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, “battles her way through life to get her favorite treat, smoked cheese.”
Her defeat expression “Nyoro~n” added to the facial expression “<:3” ends up as a cute looking frame.
Origin

Some information will go here as to when the comic first appeared.
Formula
Due to the cute nature and gag style comedy, this comic is very commonly parodied using characters from other anime series. The gag usually goes like this-
Panel 1
Pseudo Churuya: “Hey [insert name]!”
Panel 2
Other Character: Huh?
Pseudo Churuya: [Question, usually cute, obvious or characteristic of the own series]
Panel 3
Other Character: Denial
Panel 4
Pseudo Churuya: Nyoro~n.
This exchange can vary, but this is usually the basic structure of the gag.

Researching
Media
The comic gained so much popularity that it was animated into 13 short episodes (about 2 minutes long each). Researching air time and what not.
Search Interest
Though the comic gained a lot of notoriety in Japan as early as 2006, it did not gain a lot of attention in the United States and Canada until 2009 (possibly during the re-airing of the first season coupled with Endless Eight). Japan’s interest in the comic series also spiked again during this time.
