When I’m Bored features a series of video remixes to the Audiostalkers remix of the song Let Me Hit It by Sporty-O. The remixes combine a series of short clips and images from various subcultures and fandoms matching to the music. It is also common practice, using YouTube annotations, to make it loop indefinitely.
Origin
The original version was uploaded on August 31, 2010, by Youtuber ancsagirl95[1] and has gained over 3,6 million views as of January 2011. The video features the character Yoko[2] from the Japanese anime series Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. It combines short clips and images from the Kirameki Yoko Box – Pieces of Sweet Stars[3], a music video featuring Yoko sung by voice actress Marina Inoue.
The music heard in the background is the song Let Me Hit It by Sporty-O, remixed by the Audiostalkers.[4]

Other variations commonly feature the same basic principles as ancsagirl95’s original remix and the same Audiostalkers remix as the background remix. Searching on Tumblr for both “When I’m bored”[5] and “Drop it”[6] also features remixes. A version using the Medic from Team Fortress 2 got featured on Halolz on December 29, 2011.[7] Equestria Daily also featured multiple versions using My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic on January 3, 2012.[8]

This seems a lot like “this is what I see with my eyes closed” considering all the TF2 videos. Both are still funny. Still, the article needs more…article.
