Actually, it's more accurate to say he's a bratty teenager who got punished cause he said he's better than his dad so now he's all angsty and angry and tries to ruin everything his dad makes

Because contrary to popular belief, he doesn't run the place. He's just as much a prisoner as anyone else, living on borrowed time until he breaks out and gets his ass handed to him in Revelation, where afterwards he's thrown into the lake of fire for all eternity.
