As much as I agree with this it ignores the harsher truth of the matter. The problem isn't Disney not understanding this. The problem is a general viewing public that doesn't understand this. A general viewing that doesn't understand the necessity of animation and thinks making something "live action" or "photorealistic" alone makes it better.
