Steven Universe - they grow up so fast

One thing that is getting me increasingly worried is the fact that with the "friends drifting away" theme of the series plus the lack of Connie could lead to Steven and Connie growing distant from each other.

Like, imagine if Connie start dating someone else because of how little they seen each other, Steven not picking Connie hints (Remember the kiss from the movie?) and Connie just meeting new people? that would be Steven’s breaking point, losing his actual love interest like he feels is losing everybody else may be what push his Pink state further into the Worm monster everybody is theorizing that is Steven.

Please, let me be wrong here…
