What I Watched / What I Expected / What I Got - 2020 memes

At least Virgin vs. Chad was on to something with ironic and absurd memes that presented no real opinion. But then people started seeing it as a cheap way to say that I Am Very Smart And People Who Disagree With Me Are Dumb Dumbs and it was all downhill from here with new templates focused solely on that, with an exponentially lower quality each time. When soyjak was integrated into the memes, any hope for actual attempts at humor died out.

Man, I miss Newguy. I miss early 2020, TBH. Just before shit hit the fan. The Pokemon DLC being a decent surprise, PMD remake, the Sonic Movie being a surprise hit, looking forwards to Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Like, I know we shit on 2020 (Justifiably so) but it's had some good things in it, and most of them were at the beginning of the year when things actually looked nice and hopful. I miss it.
