I Hate the Way That You Walk, also known as Now Let Me Say I’m the Biggest Hater or I Hate the Way That You Walk, the Way That You Talk, I Hate the Way That You Dress, refers to lyrics from rapper Kendrick Lamar's diss track "Euphoria" in which he was addressing rapper Drake amid their 2024 feud. The lyrics became a meme on TikTok and elsewhere in May 2024. Many used the soundbite as a TikTok sound, using it to portray vitriol for other scenarios and people. The lyrics also became a copypasta or catchphrase used in image macros and memes.

On April 30th, 2024, Kendrick Lamar uploaded his Drake diss track "Euphoria" to YouTube,[1] gaining over 16.8 million views in one week. At the song's 3:09-minute mark (shown below), Lamar raps, "Now let me say I'm the biggest hater / I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dress / I hate the way that you sneak diss, if I catch flight, it's gon' be direct."

On April 30th, 2024, TikToker[2] @zioraaaa posted a video in which she isolated the "Now let me say I'm the biggest hater" section, writing, "kendrick was in the studio mad as hell." In one week, her video gained roughly 2.4 million plays and 447,200 likes (shown below, left).
Going into May 2024, others on the app used the TikTok sound[3] of @zioraaaa's video. For instance, on May 1st, TikToker[4] @ketobykeke posted a video, writing, "how me (certified hater) will be waking up every morning now that the official hater anthem dropped," earning over 5.2 million plays and 1.3 million likes in six days (shown below, right).

Memetic usage of the lyrics also spread via image macros, evident in a tweet shared by X[5] user @hunteryharris on April 30th, 2024, who captioned a photo of reality TV star Jackie Christie in bed, receiving over 3,900 likes in one week (shown below, left).
On May 5th, X[6] user @sxpnvptee used the lyrics to caption a photo of YouTuber aimsey, receiving over 1,500 likes in two days (shown below, right).
By May 7th, 2024, the trend's primary TikTok sound[3] had amassed over 143,000 uses.
