Yup, that sounds like a pretty reasonable conclusion.

I like to think that Chica still eats because the ghost of the girl haunting her wants to fell like she 's still alive. She puts the pizza leftovers that can find in the pizzeria inside her mouth, pretending she can still eat, even if she's unable to taste anymore.

Her being a robot, the leftovers only fall inside her suit, and start rotting inside her.

But…hey, that's just a theory, a creepy theory!
