Much in the same way that people said F. Scott Fitzgerald or The Beatles were the voices of their generations, this meek and pleasant canine speaks for us and our time. It remains up for debate whether the dog is actually ignorant of the flames encroaching or in a state of purposeful denial -- and that’s exactly how it should be, because isn’t that how we are? Simultaneously memeing away our lives in a state of denial and failing to comprehend the actual nature of what we face? However, it does no good to feel unnecessarily bad about this.
