Not all of us are gifted with superior intelligence. We might think we are, but we're not. Often, those who think they're the smartest among us are pretty far from it. These people want you to think they're smart. They want it so bad that they'll go out of their way to randomly declare it on online forums and social media, even though it wasn't relevant in the slightest. From bragging about a made-up IQ score to saying everyone but them is a complete idiot, these people have successfully proved they're not as smart as they're claiming to be.

Everyone lies online, but these people's insistence that they're so smart is actually kind of sad. Instead, they're just super cringeworthy and also huge jerks. It's likely that the following people are under the age of 14, or that they're just really not that smart. Their declarations of intelligence are full of typos, self-absorbed attitudes, and some of the most ridiculous claims about their own brainpower that people could come up with. Here are some of our favorite times someone thought they were smarter than you and absolutely had to share.
