The 18 Most Wholesome Posts Of Reddit's 'Made Me Smile'

Wholesome content can be found in lots of places, but Reddit is a good place to start. With cute photos of pets and inspirational stories galore, there's a subreddit for everyone. Though this surprises a lot of people, Reddit is actually one of the most wholesome parts of the internet. We're referring specifically to communities like /r/wholesomememes and /r/Awww, not鈥he rest of it. The rest of it can be a bit much, and we're here to focus on the good things in life, not the deep-seated psychological trauma you'll gain from reading through some Q and A threads.

One of the best subreddits full of positive energy is Reddit's /r/MadeMeSmile. This subreddit collects everything from news headlines to photographs, and they're all enough to make you a little happier. If you could use a reason to smile today, here are 20 of them, straight from one of the most wholesome communities out there.

Anniversary Reminder

Mastador -9h 24 Awards Female coworker of mine was miserable at work one day. I asked her what was wrong...she told me it was her anniversary, and she knew her husband had forgotten. She had pre-teen girls at home during summer vacation....I knew her home phone number (pre-cell phone era). I called her home phone and one kid picked up. Explained to the kid who I was and that she needed to call Dad at work and remind him it was Mom and Dad's anniversary....and don't tell Mom OR Dad I called. The next day she was all smiles, gosh he DID remember, brought home flowers and took her to dinner. Mission Accomplished. Not a word was ever said about this.. Until 6 years later, when she left the company. She gave me a hug at a farewell luncheon, and whispered "my kids ratted you out. Thank you".

Sisterhood

... When did you realize how important sisterhood is to you? I'll go first. I was pregnant with my second son, carrying my oldest son at 5 AM - walking to the bus stop. This was my daily routine, Monday through Friday. Everyday - this man would stand on the bus stop but he never rode the bus, a least he didn't with me. One day he comes rushing out of his house and he says "We overslept today and thought we missed you" Of course I was confused long story short. He said his wife noticed me standing alone on the bus stop a few months ago and she told him to wait with me to be sure I was okay. He never spoke to me before that day, to this day I don't know who his wife is but I thank God for her often. I used to be scared out of my mind on that bus stop and the whole time - a sister, was watching my back and I didn't even know it.
