Its music video, with over 5.2 billion views on YouTube, is the most watched video on the platform. It peaked at number 1 in dozens of countries around the world. For nearly an entire year, one couldn't walk through a grocery store or pharmacy without hearing the track's gentle latin-tinged tones. If there's one thing the song lacked, it was a proper sequel, which is where memers came in.
