The Baki the Grappler manga is well known for being one of the weirdest manga to ever achieve widespread recognition in the West, leaving popular titles like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure far behind in the "being bizarre" competition.

While chapter 39 of Baki Rahen is probably not even in the top ten of the weirdest Baki chapters ever released, it did have one moment that left readers' eyebrows raised way above usual levels.

In the chapter, the primary villain and the strongest character of the story Yujiro Hanma *checks notes* threatens to sexually assault fictional versions of recently elected United States President Donald Trump and his First Buddy Elon Musk.

What Is ‘Baki Rahen’ And Who Is Yujiro Hanma?

Baki the Grappler is a Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Keisuke Itagaki. The manga and its numerous sequels, including the latest one Baki Rahen, revolve around the titular character Baki Hanma as he gets into fights with increasingly powerful and mainly half-naked opponents.

The manga originally launched in 1991 but only gained major recognition in the West after an anime series based on it premiered on Netflix in 2020.

Over the years Baki the Grappler spawned dozens of memes, many inspired by its crazy facial expressions, poses and absurd humor. The series can appear so peculiar to an outsider that there's even a meme specifically about that: "Bro What Is Baki Even About?"

Yuujiro Hanma is the main antagonist of the manga, the strongest human on Earth – at least so far – and the father to the protagonist Baki Hanma.

One important detail about Yujiro Hanma is that in the manga, he has a tradition of meeting with the newly elected United States presidents to bully them into submission. Before meeting the fictional version of Trump, he had encounters with "Barack Ozma," "George Bosch" and "Bidem."

What Happens To Elon Musk And Donald Trump In Chapter 39 of Baki Rahen?

Keeping his president-bullying tradition alive, in chapter 39 of Baki Rahen (titled "Great, Again!"), Yujiro Hanma has fictional versions of Donald Trump and Elon Musk, called "Trunp" and "Elom" in the manga, who visit him to swear an oath of non-aggression.

After "Trunp" offers some explanation to a clueless "Elom" – he already met Yujiro during his last term and was left with quite an impression – the two visit the strongest man on Earth at a hotel.

Yujiro, however, is only expecting Trunp to visit him and gets a little angry over him bringing over his buddy as well. Brought into a bad mood by such insolence, Baki threatens to, ahem, sexually assault them both if they don't abide by his will.

While the manga doesn't show Baki acting on his promise, the chapter ends with him urging Trunp and Elom to call in security, adding, "More the merrier," and smiling creepily.

Trump And Elon Baki Chapter Reactions

Not surprisingly, the chapter quickly drew the attention of American manga readers, who spread the word about what exactly Yujiro's intentions towards fictional versions of Trump and Musk were.

Many of those who didn't read the manga assumed that Yujiro had already acted on his promise rather than just made a creepy threat. Villain or not, Mr. Hanma is a man of his word, after all.
