Ava Kris Tyson is one of MrBeast's longest friends and most frequent collaborators. She even helped found the massively popular YouTube channel. But now, she's facing troubling allegations of inappropriate online conduct with a minor and commissioning artwork from controversial artist Shadman. But is any of it true? Here's a rundown.

What Are The Allegations Regarding 'Ava Kris Tyson' and 'LavaGS?'

In June 2024, YouTuber Prism42 posted a series of videos alleging wrongdoing by Ava Kris Tyson. In the first video, Prism42 claims that Ava Kris Tyson, who began transitioning in 2023, had an inappropriate online relationship with an, at the time, minor who goes by LavaGS. The video claims that, when Tyson was in her 20s and LavaGS was a teen, they messaged each other inappropriately numerous times online.

In the video, Prism42 provides screenshots of X exchanges and Discord messages as evidence. The main piece of evidence is an interaction on X, where Tyson shared that she was close to a Patreon donation goal and seemingly jokingly offers to post spicy photos if the goal is met. Lava claims to have donated, Tyson asks for a bigger donation, Lava purportedly donates again and Tyson claims that she posted the photos for him.

In his own video, Prism42 admits that this interaction could be a joke, saying that he's seen similar jokes like this online. Still, he claims this was inappropriate for an adult to talk like this with a minor, joke or not, as Tyson was purportedly aware that Lava was a teen at the time.

Finally, Prism42 shares Discord screenshots in which LavaGS claims he met with Tyson in a "camper van." LavaGS still would have been a minor at this point. Prism then shares photographs purportedly showing LavaGS with Tyson and another MrBeast collaborator, Karl Jacobs. Prism42 claims this meeting was also inappropriate.

At the end of the video, Prism claims he talked with Lava, who denied anything inappropriate happening between them IRL. Still, Prism shares the opinion that all these interactions were inappropriate due to their age differences and the content of the interactions

What Are The Allegations Regarding 'Shadman' And 'Ava Kris Tyson?'

The second set of allegations against Tyson, which have been going around online for a while now, involve an alleged piece of artwork that Tyson commissioned from controversial artist Shadman, who is known for his inappropriate drawings of children. Purportedly, Tyson was a fan of Shadman as early as 2017, with numerous screenshots of Tyson interacting with his content available online, including some that are archived by the Wayback Machine.

The main source of concern surrounds a piece of art depicting a young girl sticking her tongue out that Tyson purportedly paid Shadman to draw. The art is even seen hanging on Tyson's wall in a 2017 MrBeast video. These allegations are going viral alongside the LavaGS allegations.

Are The Ava Kris Tyson Allegations True?

LavaGS has vehemently denied all of the allegations made against Ava Kris Tyson. Recently, LavaGS made several posts to X claiming that the videos making the allegations are twisting the story and spreading lies. He claims that most of the evidence can simply be explained as edgy humor between friends and that nothing inappropriate ever happened between himself and Tyson.

Further, LavaGS allegedly told Keemstar that he did not meet Tyson alone in the camper. According to Keemstar's post, LavaGS' parents were present the entire time and he met the whole MrBeast crew. He writes that people are "making [him] a victim."

Has Ava Kris Tyson Responded To The Allegations?

On July 23rd, 2024, Ava Kris Tyson posted a response to the allegations. In her response, she announced that she would be taking a permanent leave from the MrBeast channel, apologized for hurting anyone with her actions and promised to focuse on her mental health and family. Tyson also denied that she ever groomed Lava, similarly chocking it all up to "edgy jokes" that went too far.
