The controversy surrounding the grooming accusations received significant media coverage as it spawned various reactions on social media in late January 2025.

History

NourGxd is a 15-year-old Palestinian refugee living in Malaysia known for his Fortnite and Just Chatting Twitch[3] streams. Nour often collaborates with American streamers like PlaqueBoyMax.

On January 23rd, 2025, X[1] user @ninjah__2 posted a series of videos showing NourGxd in a video call with DJ Akademiks and several other men involved in the rap industry. At one point in the video call, one of the men asks, "Yo, Nour, what's your address? I'm going to send some strippers over there." Nour replies saying, "I'm 15. I don't be in all that, bro. You're trying to get … yo, bro, you're trying to pull me on the case. You're trying to put them on a case. What do you mean, 'So?' Just weird."

In another clip, DJ Akademiks seemingly refers to PlaqueBoyMax, asking Nour, "Yo, if Max said he wanted to try f**king a dude, will you let him f**k you?" Nour replies, "No!" "Why not? Yo, suppose he's like your bro, 'Listen, you always wanted me to be next to you, now I can be inside of you.'" Nour responds, "Yo, I'm not gay," letting out a nervous laugh.

X[2] user @sheedclips reposted a compilation of the relevant clips showing NourGxd and DJ Akademik's interactions, gathering over 12,000 likes in a week.

Developments

On January 23rd, 2025, PlaqueBoyMax[4] briefly touched on the controversy, saying that he talked to Nour to make sure he was okay, and that the "clips are nasty … it's bad work, nasty work and today is a great stream, and I'm not bringing it down with this weird energy." Max continued, "Ak, this s**t is very weird." The post gathered over 9,000 likes in a week.

On January 24th, X[5] user @justletemknow reposted a clip of Nour giving the backstory behind the Discord call, saying that the men on the call included Ray, Tory Lanez's manager, DJ Akademiks and several others. Nour says that the men knew he was live on stream but that didn't deter them from speaking inappropriately with him. The post gathered over 53,000 likes in five days.
