What Is The 'Fade Pig' Meme On Twitter? The Viral AI Pig Memes Explained
A pig with a fade is taking over Twitter / X right now and threatening to give John Pork a run for his money.
The pig first popped up online in September 2025, but now it's taking off thanks to its bizarre appearance and hilarious hairdo.
But where exactly did the Fade Pig come from, and why is it going viral? Here's what we know.
What Is The 'Fade Pig' Meme?
The so-called Fade Pig meme comes to us courtesy of Facebook user Arctic. On September 12th, 2025, they posted a series of AI-generated images of animals with human-like fades (a type of hairstyle). Among those animals was the "Fade Pig," a regular pig with a fade staring slightly off camera.
The post gained over 60,000 reactions in about two months, and the pig stood out as the clear favorite. It started spreading over the next few weeks to sites like Tumblr, where it continued to get big likes and inspire memes.
How Is 'Fade Pig' Used In Memes?
Some of the earliest Fade Pig memes to spread in late 2025 used the image to represent an ugly boyfriend or a person with a bad haircut.
For example, memes with captions like, "Hey babe, just got back from the barber's" and "how your ex looks when the attachment wears off."
More recent memes take a more absurd approach to the meme, such as a recent viral X meme that asks if you would be able to slaughter the Fade Pig if he arrived in front of you at the processing plant.
That post, made by X user @HowlingMutant0, has greatly helped usher in a new era for the meme as it continues to inspire variations online.
