What's The Origin Of The 'What's Your Talent, Bro? Did That Just Happen?' Animation Trend? The TikTok Meme Explained

Instagram Lives have long been the wild west of internet content, and IG Lives hosted by big meme pages have seen it all, from surprise rap battles to iconic Druski catchphrases.
Back in 2018, one such meme page inadvertently delivered a moment so bizarre, it became etched in Gen Z internet history.

In 2018, the Instagram page @bloutgoggles hosted an infamous "talent show" livestream, during which he asked a guest, "What's your talent bro?" only for the man to drop trou and slap his behind. The sequence and the host's stunned reaction are making a comeback seven years later, except now it's getting reanimated over on TikTok in a series of animation memes.
Here's a look at the "What’s Your Talent, Bro? Did That Just Happen?" meme.
What's The Origin of The "What's Your Talent, Bro? Did That Just Happen?" Animation Trend?
On December 22nd, 2018, YouTuber Pretty Boy Drew uploaded a recording of an Instagram Live hosted by user @bloutgoggles.
It starts normally enough, just a guy hosting a talent show on IG Live, complaining about all the people getting cold feet after asking to join. The first willing contestant finally logs on, a guy with the username @topwaver.myles.
The host, @bloutgoggles, proceeds to ask him, "What's your talent, bro?" and @topwaver.myles responds by spanking his fully exposed backside several times. The screen cuts to dark, and the host, stunned, mutters, "Did that just happen? Aight, I'm out."

The YouTube reupload raked in 33,000 views over six years, quietly working up a reputation of becoming a late-internet classic.
It didn't go viral right away, but those who saw it never forgot it, so it was only a matter of time before it came back.
How Did the 'What's Your Talent, Bro' Clip Become a Meme?
The cheeky video resurfaced in 2024 when @bloutgoggles himself reposted it, this time replacing @topwaver.myles with a face-first still of the spooky internet cryptid, Slender Man. The post gathered over 8,400 likes on Instagram over the following months and spread to TikTok, where user @cellros07’s repost on April 15th, 2025, hit over 142,000 likes in a couple of months.
TikTok artists and animators wasted no time in latching onto the trend, with one such user by the name of @krab.mans remaking the video with a bunch of One Piece characters in early June 2025, gathering over 150,000 plays and 11,000 likes in three weeks.

The June 15th video gathered over 119,000 likes in 15 days and confirmed that the "What's Your Talent, Bro?" video was officially a trend as others continued building on the format in subsequent weeks.
