Who is Brent Peterson on TikTok and Why is He Running For President?

TikTok has a new schizoposter whose name is Brent Peterson, also known by his username @brent1330metalfunk. Thorugh stitches that are appearing on everyone's "For You" pages, Mr. Peterson wants everyone to vote for him for President of the United States.

However, who is this mysterious, bearded man who uses a different, incoherent TikTok filter for every video of his? Like, what's his motive? Where did he come from? Let's explain.

Who Is Brent Peterson?

Not much is known about Brent Peterson. He uploaded his first video on August 26th, 2022, in which he was already prompting his then-nonexistent viewership to vote for him in the coming election. However, he gained followers two days later, when he uploaded his first video to reach over 1 million plays.

He gained a large following due to his habit of shitposting, but despite all the videos, he only says one sentence and doesn't let his viewers see his backgrounds. If he does let the viewer see the background, it's often dimly lit or blank. Peterson used to go live quite often, however, he recently stopped going live on TikTok and moved his presence to YouTube.

Even Peterson's subreddit doesn't know much about him. Luckily, one Redditor named SwissMapper graciously made a Brent Peterson iceberg for the masses to get lost in.

Maybe the deepest dive into Brent Peterson is his YouTube channel called brent the metal funk Peterson. There, the man behind the Presidential campaign uploads videos of himself playing the guitar, something he's obviously passionate about.
